Description
A Handsome Late 19th Century Inlaid Mahogany Bookcase. The upper section having a moulded cornice above two glazed doors enclosing shelves. The astragal moulded glazing bars swept up to an ogee arch at the top. The door frames inlaid with satinwood cross-banding edged with stringing. The base section having two panel doors with in-stepped corners edged with moulding and enhanced with square moulded appliqués to the corner voids and crossbanding to the borders. Standing on a plinth base 96” (244 cm) high, 60” (153 cm) wide, 20” (51 cm) deep. [Previously part of the Lilford Hall Estate]
