A 19th Century French Carved & Spindled Panetière. The pediment adorned with wheat to the centre amidst sprays of flowers and surmounted by ornamental corner finals. The door enriched with a musical trophy hung from ribbon carved to a shaped panel alongside the pierced iron lockplate, flanked by elaborately turned spindle sides and enclosing a slatted base shelf. Standing on scroll feet 29” (74 cm) high, 28½” (72.5 cm) wide.
