A Fine 17th Century Joined Oak Credence Table, Circa 1620. The generously sized twin-leaf demi-lune top on iron butterfly hinges folding out to form a near circular surface with a plain gate to the rear swinging out as support. The canted base carved with sunken jewel-work to the frieze and incorporating a drawer to the centre above arcaded apron pieces with scalloped edging, carved with strap-work and adorned with turned pendant finials. The divides ornamented with split spindle appliqués above fillet knopped baluster legs leading down to a pot board base on block feet, 32½” (83 cm) high, 50½” (128 cm) wide, 24” (61cm) deep.
