Description
An Elaborate 19th Century Baroque Style Six-Light Cast Brass Chandelier. The chandelier suspended from a trefoil loop to the top above the figure of a lion stood upon a domed canopy adorned with urns of flowers, winged cherubs and stylised tulip head drops. The knopped shaft having two discoid platforms pierced with mortise holes for the slot on tenons of an upper tier of ornamental reflectors on scrolling branches surmounted by lions, and a lower tier of six zoomorphic candle branches, bearing a foliate cast hoop bedecked with swagged floral garlands, 35½” (90 cm) in length, 25” (63 cm) wide.
