A Small 17th Century Oak Coffer having an edge moulded lid on iron strap hinges, and a spring action lock & key above a panel front incorporating 16th/17th Century relief carved panels with residual paintwork and a fine bearded atlante to the centre muntin. The panels each depicting a naked figure amidst swagged drapery and opulent foliate scrolls. The sides fitted with iron carrying handle to the sides and standing on shaped sledge feet with castors, 21½” (55 cm) high, 36½” (93 cm) wide, 19” (48 cm) deep.
