A Renaissance Style Carved Walnut Cassone. The single piece plank lid with moulded edge above a triple panel facade carved with reclining nymphs in oval cartouches to the side panels and a cabochon in scrolled cartouche flanked by shell motifs to the centre. The framework enriched with undulating vine. The sledge foot supports adorned with carved heads, 24” (61 cm) high, 60” (152 cm) wide, 22” (56 cm) deep.
