The upswept border decorated with interlaced strap-work edged with a rope-twist rim and framed in a gadrooned centre well moulded with strings on beads radiating from a central convex boss emblazoned with a griffin. The moulded embellishments depicted with yellow lustre glaze on an ivory glazed ground, 18” (46 cm) in diameter.
