Description
A Late 19th Century Burton in Lonsdale Earthenware Money Box modelled in the form of a Chest of Drawers. The frieze moulded ‘SAVINGS BANK’, with impressed ornamentation to the pilasters with cream slip handles and appliqués embellished with punchwork. Standing on four tapered feet with a cork stoppered aperture to the base and a coin slot to the back, 8” (20 cm) high, 6¾” (17 cm) wide, 4” (10 cm) deep.
