Description
A Fabulous 18th Century Chinese Export Famille-Rose 39 Piece Part Dinner Service, Qianlong (1736-1795). Each piece delicately painted in polychrome enamels with sprays of flowers and a scenic panel depicting a boy fishing on river bank to the fore with a lady carrying a basket on the far bank, flanked by flowering trees, encircled by a trefoiled inner band and a trellis outer band enriched with gilding. Comprising of: A large round tureen with lid surmounted by a pierced crown finial and having moulded animal heads protruding either side, a small oval lidded tureen of conforming design, a large round plate 13¾” (35 cm) in diameter, another large plate 12½” (31.5 cm) in diameter, two oval platters; one 13¾” (34 cm), the other 11¾” (30 cm) wide, a pair of oval dishes 10½” (26 cm) wide, five medium dishes 9” (23 cm), a round fluted dish 10½” (26 cm) in diameter, a round dish 10” (25.5 cm) in diameter, Sixteen plates 9” (23 cm) in diameter, a pair of small round plates 6¼” (16 cm), a pair of small fluted plates 6¼” (16 cm), a pair of small round dishes 6½” (16.5 cm) in diameter and a pair of tripod salts.
