Description
A 17th Century Carved Oak Full Tester Bed,attributed to Salisbury, Circa 1610-20. The tester composed of twelve panels carved with guilloche quatrefoil motifs encircling central flower heads and edged with nulled canopy rails surmounted by a later cornice. The head board enriched with nulling to the top above three over four panels each carved with rosettes entwined by a leafy quatrefoil within a chip carved framework. The knopped baluster turned foot posts carved with imbricated leaves and stop-fluting, 77” (196 cm) high, 76” (193 cm) in length, 55” (140 cm) wide, 58” (147 cm) cornice width.
