Description
A Pair of 18th Century Joined Oak Side Chairs. The backs having three splats below a carved panel with initials RD and date 1714 to the corners and a lozenge motif to the centre with flower heads & leaves in-between against a recessed ground. The shaped cresting rail carved with voluted C-scrolls. the uprights with scroll cut lobe terminals. The plain seat on a moulded frame raised on turned legs united by stretchers 40” (101 cm) high, 18” (46 cm) high, 18” (46 cm) wide.
