Description
A Carved & Inlaid Oak Coffer of fine colour & patination. The planked top having a moulded edge above a chip carved frieze rail enriched with pairs of barb-tonged S-scroll serpents, an arcaded centre panel marquetried with ‘flower-potte’ design, flanked by geometrically moulded side panels framing wrythen quatrefoils. The muntins and stiles adorned with split spindle appliqués. The base rail enhanced by a band of chequer inlaid and incorporating initials R.R. to the centre, standing on stile supports with pierced spandrels to the corners,
