Description
A Rare Late 17th Century Joined Elm Lambing Chair. The fielded panel back and splayed wing sides surmounted by a boldly carved cresting rail of broken S-scrolls enriched with stylised foliage; the uprights surmounted by voluted lobe-cut finials. The arms having scroll terminals and enclosed panel sides leading down to a planked seat above a side opening drawer on turned legs united by a pierced scroll-crested front rail and turned stretchers to the sides and rear, 45” (114.5 cm) high, 23½” (59.5 cm) wide.
