A 19th Century Yew-wood & Elm Low Splat Back Windsor Armchair attributed to Nottinghamshire Circa 1840-80. The hoop back with six long ash spindles flanking a shaped centre splat decorated with a motif of five piercings to the top and two piercings below, with six underarm spindles and baluster turned end posts leading down to an elm seat on ring turned baluster legs with vase shaped feet, united by a crinoline stretcher, 35½” (90 cm) high, 22” (56 cm) wide, the seat 17¼” (44 cm) in height.
