A 17th Century Style Oak Food Hutch, attributed to Somerset region. The plank top with applied edge moulding above a carved frieze rail decorated with foliate S-scrolls defined against recessed pitted reserves enhanced with punchwork and having dentil moulding strips to the top and pairs of shaped appliqués adorning the centre and sides. The front fitted with two doors set one above another to one side, and two panels to the other; all abundantly drilled with perforations in a lattice design enclosing a ventilated interior with shelf. The twin-panel sides inlaid with parquetry bands to the muntins. The stiles carved with undulating foliage enriched with punchwork. 38” (97 cm) high, 35” (89 cm) wide, 14” (35.5 cm) deep.
