Description
A Set of Four 19th Century Yew-wood Low Splat-back Windsor Armchairs with elm seats, attributed to Nottinghamshire Circa 1840-80. Each chair having a hoop back with central splat decorated with five piercings to the top and two below, flanked by six long spindles, six further underarm spindles and baluster turned end posts leading down to an elm seat with incised edging line. The baluster turned legs united by crinoline stretchers, 35½” (90 cm) high, 22” (56 cm) wide, the seats 17½” (44 cm) high.
