Description
A 17th Century Joined Oak Armchair. The sweeping top rail enhanced with a band of dog-tooth carved run moulding flanked by plain uprights above a lozenge carved back panel with daisy wheel to the centre and spurs of gouge carved foliage emanating from each side. The scroll end arms on rising baluster turned posts leading down to a planked seat on cannon barrel turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 38¼” (97 cm) high, 22½” (57 cm) wide, 20” (51 cm) deep.
