Description
A 16th Century Boarded Oak Coffer of fine colour & patination. The plank top having run moulding to the front and back edge and chip carved ends, opening to reveal a partitioned interior. The front board carved with twin lunettes stamped with simple punch-work and infilled with fanned foliage. The supporting end boards having stepped V-shaped cut-in feet, 24” (61 cm) having, 41¼” (105 cm) wide, 15” (38 cm) deep.
