The fold over top on rule hinges, inlaid with stringing crossed over to the centre and folding out to reveal a removable lid with frieze compartment below. The six knopped & ebonised legs tapering down to connecting rails on turned feet, two swinging out to support the leaf, 30” (76 cm) high, 38½” (98 cm) wide, 14” (36 cm) deep.
