The upper section having a cavetto moulded cornice above two moulded panel doors; the panels having recessed quadrant details to the top corners, bordered by twin-reed moulding and inlaid with feather banding within cross-banded borders. The doors opening to three adjustable bookshelves slotting into side grooves, above three over two shallow drawers fitted with small brass knop handles and divided by reeding, with candle slides below. The base section having a sloped fall front with moulded edge and book ledge, opening out onto loper supports to reveal a bank of drawers and pigeon holes flanking a cupboard to the back. The chest housing two short over three long graduated drawers standing on bracket feet 83½” (212 cm) high, 39” (99 cm) wide, 23” (59 cm) deep.
