Description
An Antique Oak Wainscot Chair. The arcaded back panel enriched with carving beneath a swept cresting rail projecting out either side above scrolled spandrels and carved with birds perched upon leafy branches. The planked seat above lunette carved side rails and a strapwork front rail decorated with interlinking trefoiled C-scrolls defined against a recessed pitted ground and enhanced with punchwork. The arms on fluted rising baluster posts above similar fluted legs terminating on rounded block feet. 45” (114 cm) high, 24” (61 cm) wide.
