A 17th Century Italian Walnut Credenza. The top with carved dentil moulding to the underside above two frieze drawers flanking a small square centre drawer. The drawer fronts enriched with decorative gouge carving in raised panels and fitted with bronze roundel knop handles. The two cupboard doors below hung on wire hinges and having raised edge-moulded panels with re-entrant corner quadrants, centred by carved daisy-wheels radiating out from the knop handles. The pilasters enriched with chip carved bands, leading down to a moulded base on pierced bracket feet with S-scroll spandrels, 40½” (103 cm) high, 54½” (139 cm) wide, 21¼” (54 cm) deep.
