A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Turned Treen Mortar with later pestle. The mortar, probably turned from sycamore, having two raised bands encompassing the sides above a circular block foot, with a substantial infilled crack to one side, 8¼” (21 cm) high, 6¼” (16 cm) in diameter. The pestle 9½” (24 cm) in length.
