A 17th Century Joined Carved Oak Press Cupboard. The planked top above a frieze rail of interlinked scalloped C-scrolls and centred by a gouge carved tulip head over initials EI. The carved design repeated to the quadruple panel doors, opening to reveal hanging space within extended into a box form base behind four lozenge carved panels centred by rosettes and having wrythen whorls to the corners. The framework enhanced with recessed ebonised bands, 65¾” (167 cm) high, 54” (137 cm) wide, 18½” (47 cm) deep.
