Description
A 16th Century Westphalian Oak Stollentruhe or Coffer, bound in studded iron straps with decorative petaled roundel terminals. The lid with an iron hasp meeting the ornamental lock-plate decorated with fleur-de-lys roundels either side and pierced quatrefoil motifs to the corners. Standing on broad stile supports 33” (84 cm) high, 67½” (172 cm) wide, 26” (66 cm) deep.
