A William & Mary Walnut Armchair. The tall caned back panel in a moulded frame with shaped ends. The hump-topped cresting rail with voluted terminals crested with small leaves, above turned uprights. The arms with out-swept scrolled knop terminals above turned posts leading down to a later drop in seat covered in golden beige fabric. The cabriole legs united by a turned H-form stretcher, 50½” (128 cm) high, 23” (59.5 cm) wide.
