Description
A Fabulous Neo-Gothic Steel & Bronze Jewellery Casket. The hinged dome lid ornamented with studded cruciform appliqués, with a navette shaped Green-man’s face mask mounted to the centre above a pedant hasp, surmounted by an oval medallion finial relief cast with a satyr’s face mask and bejewlled with emerald glass cabochons. The rectangular body decorated with further satyr masks incorporating a slide up keyhole cover to the front emblazoned with the face of Pan. The interior lined in teal velvet with a partitioned lift-out tray and decorative gilt metal trim. Standing on petalled feet 12” (30.5 cm) high, 11” (28 cm) wide, 6” (16 cm) deep.
