Description
A 17th Century Box-topped Stool on bobbin turned legs. The lid with moulded edge and iron strap hinges opening to reveal a partitioned interior enclosed behind run moulded rails and fitted with an iron hasp and lock-plate to the front. The legs of repeated ball turning united by plain peripheral stretchers and terminating on turned feet, 17” (43 cm) high, 17¾” (45 cm) wide, 15¼” (38.5 cm) deep.
