A Large 19th Century Louis XVI Style Carved & Gilded Console Table. The D-shaped white marble top with moulded edge and breakfront details above a pierced frieze festooned in floral swags to the front and adorned with scrolling acanthus flanking a central love trophy of a crossed torch en flambeau and quiver of arrows, with guilloche chains of rosettes to the sides. The stop fluted legs headed by paterae and united by a wavy scale carved X-form stretcher surmounted by a lavish display of flowers, 37” (94 cm) high, 55” (140 cm) wide, 23” (58 cm) deep.
