Description
A 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair of good colour and patination. The panel back carved with a flowering plant issuing five marigold blooms and tulip heads defined against a pitted ground, with scrolls of foliate strap-work ornamenting the top rail. The scroll end arms on turned posts leading to a planked seat on similarly turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 39¾” (101 cm) high, 20 (52 cm) wide, the seat 17 (44.5 cm) high.
