A Fine William & Mary Oyster Veneered Lace Box enriched with Marquetry. The rectangular lid centred by an oval panel inlaid with sprays of flowers depicted in different woods and green stained bone displayed against an ebony ground, surrounded by walnut oyster veneers with conforming quadrant panels of floral marquetry to the corners and D-end panels to the front. The moulded base on squat bun feet. The interior lined in later padded moiré inky blue fabric , 5¼” (13.5 cm) high, 21” (53.5 cm) wide, 17” (43 cm) deep.
