A Small Charles I Oak Livery Cupboard. The edge-moulded plank top above a twin-doored cupboard. The frieze rail enriched with a band of foliate strap-work flanked by decoratively carved stiles displaying arabesque strap-work sprays lassoed by raised strings looped & tied into guilloche quatrefoil knots at the centre. The door panels centred by oval bosses and contained in a moulded & gadrooned frame flanking an arcaded centre panel adorned with facetted appliqués between bands of ornamental strap-work. The integral base having a carved strap-work frieze raised on turned cannon barrel front legs and rear stiles leading down to a base shelf on block feet, 43¾” (111 cm) high, 45” (114 cm) wide, 15” (38 cm) deep.
