Description
Five Late 19th/Early 20th Century Combination Corkscrew /Penknives: The largest circa 1900, having a bone clad handle with inset vacant shield cartouche housing five tools; a large blade, small blade marked SAMUEL KING SHEFFIELD, spike, simple wire helix and a wire breaker, 4” (10 cm) in length. The next with five implements; a knife marked German made, can opener, simple wire helix, spike, and cartridge remover (?) in a pearlite casing, 3½ (9 cm) in length. The third circa 1880 having a fork and centre cut helix corkscrew housed in a bone clad handle, 3½” (8 cm) in length. A small mother of pearl handled corkscrew with four tools and inscription ‘M Gregory’ to the handle. And a miniature bone handled corkscrew circa 1860 with knife blade, button hook, wire helix and spike, 2¼” (5.5 cm) length.
