A 17th Century Carved Oak Coffer dated 1684. The planked lid with moulded edge above panel sides and a carved triple panel front . The frieze enriched with interlinked lunette bands enhanced with punchwork and centred by the date and a later brass escutcheon. The side panels gouge carved with guilloche quatrefoil designs; the centre panel with a large stylised thistle and leafy fronds rising from a diminutive urn. The channel moulded framework with stile supports, 25¼ in (64 cm) high, 49¼ in (125 cm) wide, 18 in (46 cm) deep.
