A 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair. The shaped cresting rail carved with a pair of coiled S-scrolls and leafy stems defined against a recessed pitted ground. The back panel having an arch of fanned nulling above a moulded diamond centred by a flower-head with guilloche plaits of entwined flower-heads either side and similar guilloche bands adorning the seat rails. Standing on baluster turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 44½ in (113 cm) high, 22 in (56 cm) wide, 18 in (46 cm) deep.
