An Early 18th Century Silk Chalice Veil. The cut cruciform panel appliquéd with sprays of velvet flowers embellished with tiny beads and strings of sequins on an eau-de-nil silk ground (perished), . The centred emblazoned with a radiant trellis-work quatrefoil worked in metallic thread and edged with sequins. The braid border with fringing, 16” (41 cm) in width.
