A 19th Century Brass Navicula & A Late 18th Century Italian Giltwood Pyx. The navicula or incense boat embellished with engraving. The curved vessel with hinged lid raised on a knopped pedestal and round foot, 6¼” (16 cm) high, 7½” (19 cm) wide. The pyx having a lid centred by a carved rosette and finial knop, with gadrooned edge above a wrythen stop-fluted bowl on a decoratively carved pedestal foot, 5 (14.5 cm) high.
