An Unusual Early 19th Century Quaker Medallion Sampler with four dates; the first within an octagon with birds and ‘A Token of Love 1800’, the second within an octagon with flower basket 1801, the third within a half medallion 1802, and the fourth 1802 within a floral cartouche with initials MG. The piece of vertical orientation, finely executed with half medallions to the sides in yellow/ green silks with touches of red to the flowers, 15¼” x 5¾” (39 cm x 15 cm) excluding the later frame.
