Each having a shallow shelf with beaded edge to the back raised on turned side posts and surmounted by a shaped cresting rail carved with scrolling issuing stylised husk flowers. The rectangular brêche violette marble inset top above a moulded frieze drawer and cupboard door with a gilt brass trellis grille backed in pleated silk and fitted with lock & key enclosing a shelved interior. The door flanked by turned side columns adorned with bulbs of carved foliage and leading down to a break-front plinth raised on carved block feet. Tape label to back printed ‘Lady B Parsons 2 11 1948’ (Lady Mary Bridget Parsons), 52” (132 cm) high, 31” (79 cm) wide, 13” (33 cm) deep.*
