A Late 18th Century Quaker Sampler by Anna Lloyd sewn in 1797 when 9 years old. [Anna was from a Birmingham Quaker family and her father Charles was listed as a Banker, Philanthropist and Pioneer in the Emancipation Movement; the beginnings of the Lloyds Banking Group as we know today. She married Isaac Braithwell of Westmoreland in 1808, 14” x 11½” (36 cm x 29 cm) excluding later frame.
