Description
A 17th Century Geometricall Moulded Oak Mule Chest of deep colour and patination. The plank lid with moulded edge on iron strap hinges opening to reveal an open till to one end. The twin panel front decorated with intricate geometric mouldings centred by cushion front rectangles inlaid with bone & ebony diamond motifs and flanked by split spindle appliqués. The base housing a long drawer with twin panel moulding and brass drop handles, standing on stile feet 27” (69 cm) high, 41¾” (106 cm) wide, 18” (46 cm) deep.
