Description
A Dutch Rosewood & Ebonised Schrank in the 17th Century Style. The heavy moulded cornice enhanced with ebonised ripple moulding and having carved grotesque masks flanked by cherub heads to the corners with a lion mask to the centre, overhanging a decorated frieze of applied foliate scroll carving. The two moulded doors centred by pronounced cushion front vertical panels applied with pendant swags of carved flowers, fruit and foliage edged with ripple moulding and flanked by half column pilasters with angel head capitals. The base housing two drawers raised on boldly turned, ebonised bun feet, 80¾” (105 cm) high, 63” (160 cm) wide, 76” (193 cm) cornice width.
