The hinged lid opening to reveal a red baize lined bowl receptacle flanked by two lidded tea boxes lifting out to reveal maker’s labels printed ‘George Simson Upholder Cabinet Maker & Undertaker No 19 Southside of St Paul’s Grave Yard London’ The side fitted with wooden ring handles. The piece standing on turned feet, 8” (20 cm) high, 13½” (34 cm) wide, 7” (18 cm) deep.
