Description
An Early 17th Century Carved Oak & Marquetry Coffer. The lid with moulded edge above an arcaded triple panel facade inlaid with flowering plants beneath guilloche carved arches and divided by carved shield bearing atlantes and caryatids. The base ledge resting on a row of moulded corbel appliqués standing on stile supports with S-scroll spandrels to the corners and centre, 81.5 cm high, 163 cm wide, 61 cm deep (32” h. 64” w. 24” d.)
