The regal sitter, widely known as Louis Le Bien Aimé, depicted dressed in finery, wearing a tricorn hat trimmed with feathers and a ermine drape. The canvas 18” x 14½” (46 cm x 37 cm). Set in an elaborately decorated gilt frame 23¾” x 22” (60 cm x 56 cm).
