Description
A Small Late 17th Century Oak Coffer attributed to Dorset. The planked top with moulded edge on original split pin hinges. The quadruple panelled front carved with navette motifs embellished with punch-work and enhanced by ebony stain. The rails and muntins carved with interlaced C-scrolls. Standing on stile supports with shaped spandrels to the corners, 26¾” (68 cm) high, 48¾” (124 cm) wide, 22” (56 cm) deep.
