Description
A Decorative Figured Walnut Bonheur-du-Jour inlaid with kingwood bands edged in stringing and adorned with gilt bronze mounts. The top having an ogee shaped tooled-leather insert with gilt embellishments in a cross-banded border, and further cross-banding fashioned into angular lopped at the corners within a diagonally grained periphery band. The back having an ornately cast gilt bronze gallery rail above ogee arch topped pigeon holes and drawers. The frieze housing a centre drawer inlaid with decorative oval panel and standing on square tapering cabriole legs with gilt caps and castors, 40” (102 cm) high, 39” (99 cm) wide, 24” (61 cm) deep.
