Description
A 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair. The plain panel back surmounted by a shaped cresting rail carved with a row of wrythen whorls entwined in a guilloche plait. The arms resting on baluster turned posts leading to a plank seat with edge moulded frieze rails and rising baluster legs united by low peripheral stretchers, 40½” (103 cm) high, 21” (53 cm) wide.
