Description
A Large and Rare Late 19th Century Meiji Period Ivory Carving of Jorojin depicted with a long black beard wearing a tall cap and intricately engraved kimono, holding a staff in one hand with a fan in the other, flanked by separate carvings of a monkey sat on a rock holding a peach, and a hare standing with one foot resting on a ball. The carving with traces of residual paint. 24” (61 cm) in height.
