A Large Victorian Carved & Gilded Gesso-work Console Table (A/F). The bow-front Cararra Marble top in a beaded edge with a break-front ribbon twist frieze centred by a ribbon bow suspending an oval Wedgwood medallion plaque depicting a classical figure carrying a basket of flowers upon her head. The flanking top-fluted baluster supports ornamented with paterae and leafy bands. The marble-topped plinth with mirrored back flanked by pendant garlands of laurel hanging down the rear pilasters, 39” (99 cm) high, 62” (157.5 cm) wide, 19” (48 cm) deep.
